Katie Elliot

Associate Director, Chemical Consulting

Katie Elliot serves as an associate director of the European Chemical Consulting practice at S&P Global Commodity Insights in London.

Katie supports single-client consulting engagements for market, pricing and investment studies, as well as assisting clients in business performance analysis and strategy related projects. Prior to her current role, Katie served for five years in S&P Global's insights group, leading aromatics feedstock analysis in the EMEA region, including coverage of benzene and feedstocks, mixed xylenes, toluene, orthoxylene and phthalic anhydride. She contributed to publications including European aromatics, world analysis benzene, and toluene and xylenes, special studies and speaking at industry conferences. She has more than seventeen years of experience in the petroleum industry covering, business strategy and planning, sourcing, trading and risk management, commercial performance and market analysis. Prior to joining the company in 2014, Katie spent eleven years with BP where she worked as a petrochemicals trader and product manager in the styrenics and paraxylene businesses. Her earlier career included commercial roles in refining and trading operations and in downstream oil businesses.

Katie holds a Master of Arts from Queens' College, Cambridge, UK.
