R.J, a chemical industry veteran with expertise in production processes and economics, carbon footprint and sustainability, plastics, rubber, and refinery petrochemical integration, S&P Global Commodity Insights

R.J currently serves as Vice President of Process Economics Program (PEP), the Program he has managed since 2008. PEP is world's premier source of production and capital costs of over 1900 industrial chemical production processes. His recent work involves Crude Oil to Chemicals (COTC), Plastic Recycling Process Economics, and Carbon Footprint of chemical processes.

Since joining S&P Global Commodity Insights (former SRI Consulting) in 2005, He has managed many consulting projects in China and the Middle East involving technology benchmarking, M&A due diligence, and market studies related to engineering plastics, elastomers, and specialty chemicals. He also had served as the Director of Specialty Chemical Update Program (SCUP) from 2006-2008.

Before joining SRI Consulting, He had 26 years industrial experience in rubber, adhesive, plastic, coating, automotive and electrical power industries. He held key positions with 3L&T Inc. (Vice President of Technology), Raychem/Tyco Electronics (Principal Engineer); 3M Co.; and General Tire.

R.J received his Ph.D. in Polymer Science from the University of Akron, Ohio, MASc in Chemical Engineering from University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, and BS in Chemical Engineering from National Taiwan University, Taiwan. He holds 19 US patents and has published 17 technical papers.
