With over 25 years of experience in the energy and chemicals sector, Dr. Girish has authored several PEP (Process Economics Program) research reports at IHS Markit(now part of S&P Global). These studies present the capital and production cost analysis for industrial processes in the renewable biofuels, petrochemicals and refinery sectors, in order to evaluate capital deployment in industrial assets. With focus on innovation, his research assesses the impact of emerging technologies on production economics and environmental factors. In his earlier career, Dr. Girish worked at Aspen Technology where he executed several projects involving operational optimization of highly integrated chemical processing plants. During this period, he was engaged in some of the earliest projects involving operational excellence through digitization in the petrochemical industry.

Dr. Girish holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Rice University, Houston, USA and an MBA from University of Houston, USA.
