Dr. Sam Aworinde is an Associate Director in the Chemical Consulting team at S&P Global Commodity Insights

Sam works in the Chemical Consulting practice at S&P Global Commodity Insights in London and has more than 10 years of consulting, engineering, process R&D, project and operational experience across the chemicals and energy industries. His consulting experience covers techno-economic analysis, process technology evaluation and licensor selection, technical and commercial due-diligence for M&A transaction support, lenders technical advisory for the development, construction and commissioning of grassroots petrochemical plants, as well as feasibility studies on new petrochemical investment projects, including market review, cost competitiveness analysis, and cash flow modeling to determine economic viability and long-term profitability.

Sam has a deep industry knowledge and understanding of various petrochemical value chains (olefins and polyolefins, polymers, intermediates, syngas chemicals) as well as sustainability-related topics such as carbon capture utilization and storage (CCUS), renewable feedstocks, plastics circularity and low-carbon hydrogen. He has a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the University of Cambridge.
