As Global Head of Communications, Christina is responsible for all aspects of S&P Global’s communications organization including external and internal communications, strategy and messaging, media relations, communications agency governance, as well as crisis and issues management. In this role, Christina sits on the Purpose Leadership Team and serves as critical advisor to S&P Global’s CEO, Executive Committee, and the board.
Previously, Christina served as Global Head of Communications for S&P Global Ratings and Sustainable1. As part of this role, she led communications for those businesses, including strategic development, media relations, and internal communications. She was also a member of the S&P Global Ratings Executive Committee.
Prior to that role, Christina held positions at the enterprise-level as the Head of Enterprise Communications, Head of Strategic Initiative Communications and the Head of Technology Communications, respectively. She joined the company through the acquisition of SNL Financial in 2015 as Head of External Communications for S&P Global Market Intelligence. She was the Head of Public Relations for SNL in the five years leading up to the firm being acquired by S&P Global.
Earlier in her career, Christina served as Head of Communications and Marketing for Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley's Energy Administration. She also has experience as an entrepreneur, recognized by Women in Bio as one of their 2008 Entrepreneur Honorees for her work in partnership with University of Maryland Baltimore County’s ACTiVATE program and Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab. Her professional background also includes corporate communications consulting, web development and sales.
She was honored to be named one of PR News’ Top Women in PR in 2017.
She sits on the Young Leaders Council of Vital Voices, a global non-profit organization committed to investing in women leaders.
Christina holds a Bachelor of Science with Special Attainments in Commerce from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia.
