Tender for two LNG cargoes scheduled for 2025 deliveries
Tender closes Nov 14
DXT Commodities, a Switzerland-based trading house, issued its first buy tender for two LNG cargoes to North Asia in 2025, market sources said.
The tender that is expected to close Nov. 14 seeks offers for two cargoes, each with specified three-day delivery windows.
The first cargo is scheduled for delivery between June 14-23, 2025, and the second cargo can be delivered during one of the two windows: either Oct. 14-23 or Nov. 16-20, 2025.
This marks the first buy tender DXT Commodities issued for cargoes to the region. Previously, the companies had done several deals with Chinese companies on a bilateral basis, market sources said.
"DXT Commodities is seeking to increase its footprint in China. The tender may serve as a way to assess the market," a China-based market source noted.
In late October this year, DXT Commodities, in collaboration with Hartree Partners, successfully delivered cargo from Algeria to PipeChina's Yuedong LNG Terminal in Dapeng Princess, a Medmax ship commissioned last year, as announced by DXT Commodities.
Platts assessed December JKM – the value of cargo delivered into JKTC -- at $13.507/MMBtu Nov. 13.
