The Trafigura-operated Tanjung Langsat terminal (One) in southern Malaysia has been approved by Platts as an alternative FOB Singapore delivery point for the Platts Market on Close assessment process, effective immediately.
Trafigura has previously said it intends to offer refined products including middle distillates, gasoline and fuel oil from the storage facility. Under Platts methodology, for offers of oil supplied from locations other than standard FOB terminals within Singapore, the loadpoint must be clearly stated at the time of offer.
Platts will typically apply a differential to such offers under its price normalization process.
