Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, will launch weekly US acrylic fibers spot assessment, effective April 8, 2025.
Platts will start assessing staple fiber weekly on a DDP basis in the US, complementing existing acrylic staple fiber coverage in India and Turkey.
This assessment was first proposed in a subscriber note Feb. 5 which can be found here(opens in a new tab).

The assessment will consider acrylic staple fiber imported to the US.

The proposed weekly assessment and market commentary will be published on Thursday and appear in Platts Fiber Marketscan and on Platts Connect.
Pricing information for material with other specifications and terms may be normalized accordingly.
