Platts proposes to discontinue CPO and CPKO CIF Rotterdam assessments

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, proposes to discontinue its European assessments for Crude Palm Oil (CPO) and Crude Palm Kernel Oil (CPKO), effective May 20.

Market liquidity for CPO and CPKO has fallen significantly in Europe due to changing consumer habits, and ahead of the EU deforestation-free products legislation coming into force and restricting palm-based imports beginning December 2025.

The proposed discontinuation would affect the following codes:

The assessments currently appear in Daily Grains, and on the fixed pages PAA1808 and PAA1810.
