Platts proposes to change timestamp and publishing schedule for Asia container assessments

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, proposes to change the timestamp and holiday schedule for its Asia container assessments, from 1730 Singapore Standard Time to 1630 Indian Standard Time and change the holiday schedule from the Singapore calendar to the India calendar, with effect from March 4, 2024.

This change is intended to better capture the concentration of trading activity in the Indian Container markets.

Assessments affected by this proposed change are as follows:

Bids, offers, trades and indicative values would only be considered for the assessment if they are received before the 1630 Indian time cutoff.

These assessments are published in Platts Dry Freight Wire and Platts Dry Freight Wire Monthly; on Platts Shipping Alert pages SHP0510, SHP0514, SHP0511, PGT4000, PGT4006, PGT4001, and in the Platts pricing database under the symbol codes above.
