Jan Coughlan serves as Director, Institutional Trade Processing (ITP) at DTCC, where she is responsible for leading critical initiatives that drive further automation and increased adoption of the firm’s ALERT platform, the largest and most compliant web-based data repository of account and standing settlement instructions.
Full BioJan Coughlan serves as Director, Institutional Trade Processing (ITP) at DTCC, where she is responsible for leading critical initiatives that drive further automation and increased adoption of the firm’s ALERT platform, the largest and most compliant web-based data repository of account and standing settlement instructions. She partners extensively with the community and industry organizations to expand the platform’s capabilities and deliver new value for clients.
Prior to joining DTCC, Jan provided consultancy services for UBS, Deutsche Borse & Omgeo, supporting clients on their optimization of product usage, driving operational efficiencies and reducing risk within securities operations.
Jan has over 30 years of experience in financial services, including nine years as Senior Vice President at Credit Suisse, where she managed strategic projects in the securities settlement lifecycle and in asset servicing. Prior to joining Credit Suisse, Jan began her career at Barclays where she held a number of line and project management positions covering Equity, FX, Money Market settlements, stock lending and cash funding.
