Chaya provides leadership and oversight to every aspect of the business but spends the majority of her time thinking about investing. From big picture analysis of asset allocation and portfolio construction to detailed investment research and due diligence, Chaya is integrally involved in all aspects of the investment process and makes all final investment decisions for the firm. She also personally maintains all client relationships. Prior to Virtera, Chaya spent more than a decade at Parkwood, the highly sophisticated investment office of the Mandel family and Mandel Foundation in Cleveland, where she was a Director responsible for oversight of the alternative investment portfolio. Chaya also spent the first five years of her career in the investment banking division of Goldman Sachs. She attended Columbia University where she earned a BA in mathematics cum laude, and she is a CFA charterholder and CAIA charterholder. Throughout her career, Chaya has received a number of accolades, including CIO Magazine’s 40 under 40 in 2014 and NextGen in 2018. She is actively involved in her community and sits on the board of directors for a number of nonprofit organizations.Minimize
